Accessibility

Accessibility is a form of online inclusivity - when you apply accessibility principles to your application, you make it available to all sorts of users regardless of their abilities. What does it mean in real life? That we, as web and app developers and creators shouldn't discriminate people with disabilities and make sure that they can use online services as easily as a fully able person does.

Accessibility is also important for you in terms of economic impact - the Click-Away Pound Survey in 2016 revealed that the majority of shoppers with a disability will click away from your website if it's too difficult to use and that they are willing to pay more money for the same item on a more accessible page. Also, the revenue lost amounted to £75 billion in the UK alone.
